STEP Outcomes

This project brings a fresh, evidenced-based approach to managing employees in the hospitality sector. It provides guidance and examples useful to small and large hospitality organisations in how to manage and develop employees effectively. The project employs an accessible, multimedia approach comprising of:


  • Video footage of HR practices in the European hospitality sector.
  •  
  • A country-specific review of the hospitality sector and HR practices across the six partner countries.
  •  
  • Over 30 case studies detailing good HR practice in hospitality organisations across Europe.
  •  
  • A 12 unit e-learning module aimed at developing the skills of hospitality line managers and supervisors (accredited by Queen Margaret University carrying 10 ECTs).
  •  
  • E-learning module content in English, German, Greek, Slovak and Spanish available through MOODLE and WebCT
  •  
  • A series of information posters and leaflets.
